Hi, I’m Laura, a freelance writer based in Yorkshire. I currently take on assignments surrounding copywriting, proofreading, editing, social media and public relations work.
Here I write film, TV and book reviews, travel posts and general entries about what’s going on in the world of Laura M Smith. On occasion I decide to exist in the outside world where I enjoy cycling, travelling and reading secondhand books in quiet cafes. 
I graduated from the University of Hull in 2011 with a 2:1 in BA Hons Media, Culture and Society. From this I gained a huge interest in academically critiquing televisual narrative, which went on to gain me the prize for Best Dissertation and the prize for Best Overall Achievement within the department.
